Demographics
The Hayden-Winkelman School District is located at the southern tip of Gila County. The Hayden-Winkelman community is rich in history and offers many recreational opportunities for its residents. The HWUSD student enrollment is 420 students in Preschool through 12th grade. The School District was founded in 1936 and services over 285 square miles. Graduates of the Hayden School District have gone on to be state legislators, doctors, lawyers, educators, Federal Judges and state leaders in their perspective fields. The school prides itself in providing a high quality education for every
